The helmet includes the latest type of TPU used for cushioning as Schutt has now outfitted the helmet with Single Layer Dual Compression TPU. The newest generation of TPU is the lightest yet and uses a ribbed system to deliver better impact absorption. The rest of the helmet remains unchanged as it still features a traditional standoff and blends the modern technology with a traditional look. The shell is just about the only thing that's old school with this helmet. The inside features a SUREFIT TPU AiR liner that gives the helmet a pillow-like feel thanks to a TPU outer skin. Comfort foam under the skin allows for a dynamic fit and long-lasting durability.
