The McDavid 7730T Extreme HexPad LS Shoulder/Arm/Rib Pads  has a patented lightweight, breathable, athletic foam which conforms to and stretches with your body for  constant protection. Compression fabric helps large muscle groups  reduce muscle pulls and fatigue. It moves with your body to prevent skin irritations, chaffing, and abrasions.

McDavid's patented Hexpad technology consists of hexagonal cutouts of a shock-absorbing athletic-foam adhered to the textile of the sports apparel. This allows for a lightweight and flexible guarment, which is however very effective in providing potection against impacts.
All McDavid Hexpad garments also employ hDc technology. This makes moisture spread widely throughout the synthetic textiles allowing it to evaporate quicker. This enables the athlete to control his body temperature better, saving valuable energy in the process.
